David Robinson is Deputy Chief of the Dearborn Police Department, serving as the number two executive. Since joining the department in 1989, following graduation from Michigan State University with a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice, Commander Robinson has implemented a number of community based initiatives and has been recognized by the Department of Homeland Security as a subject matter expert in the area of Community Policing and Countering Violent Extremism. He currently serves on public/private collaborative working groups in the development of a non-criminal Mental Health/Social Fitness Intervention Model and in the expansion of the national Gun Free Zone. Commander Robinson also serves as an Advisory Board member of the Arab Chaldean Council.
